A Shared Mission for Family and Youth-Centered Health Care

Cambia Health Foundations mission is rooted in the belief that everyone should have equal access to whole-person health. Across the 勛圖tv WA network, we are already deeply aligned with their work. We prioritize breaking down barriers that prevent students from achieving academic and personal success, a handful which are linked to health and well-being. Together, our organizations are committed to creating an environment where every student, regardless of their background, has the support they need to thrive in school and in life.

Kids today face many challenges, said Peggy Maguire, president of Cambia Health Foundation. At Cambia Health Foundation, we believe that supporting culturally relevant behavioral health care to our young people is critical to reducing adverse childhood experiences and fostering better long-term health outcomes. We are pleased to support 勛圖tv to create an ecosystem where children can build resilience and access resources needed to create a bright future.泭泭

The Importance of Support in Schools

The support provided by 勛圖tvWA is especially critical in the schools we serve across Washington. Our dedicated site coordinators work directly within schools to identify and address the needs of students and their families. These needs often encompass a range of issues, including:泭

  • Mental Health Challenges: Many students struggle with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues that can impede their academic performance and overall well-being.泭泭
  • Teacher Focus Areas: Teachers are often overburdened with large class sizes and diverse student needs, making it challenging to provide individualized attention and support.泭
  • Financial Strains: Economic hardship can affect students ability to access basic necessities, participate in school activities, and focus on their education.泭泭
  • Community Gaps: There are often gaps in community resources, such as lack of access to health care, mental health services, and family engagement within the community and school.泭

These barriers highlight why 勛圖tvWAs work is so necessary. Our site coordinators are pivotal in connecting students and their families with resources and support systems, helping to mitigate these challenges.泭泭

The Tiered Support Model

勛圖tvWA employs a tiered model of support to effectively address the varied needs of students:

  • Tier 1: School-wide services and resources available to all youth promoting a positive school climate and overall well-being.泭
  • Tier 2: Targeted interventions for youth who need additional support, such as small group sessions or specific programs focused on social-emotional learning.泭
  • Tier 3: Intensive, individualized support for youth facing significant challenges, including one-to-one counseling, mentoring, and connections to external services.泭泭

This model ensures that all youth receive the level of support they need to succeed.泭

Impressive Student Outcomes

Across the state, over 6,000 young people receiving individualized support through 勛圖tv programs have shown outstanding progress towards their personal goals. Additionally, over 100,000 young people benefit from school-wide programs. The impact of these is reflected in the following outcomes:

  • 91% of students met or made progress on their behavior goals.泭
  • 91% of students met or made progress on their social-emotional goals.泭

These statistics underscore the effectiveness of our support systems and the importance of continued investment in these areas.
